Who is responsible

Biber Energy Network, Patrick Biber-Weber, Switzerland – patrick@biber.solar. The EnergyHub Academy is part of the project «Business development EnergyHub» carried out for MPower Ventures AG.

What we store and why

• E-mail address – to sign you in with a code and to tell you about your membership.
• Profile (name, country, city, hub/company, role, experience, introduction) and skills self-assessment – to plan the training with you and to form groups.
• Progress (lessons completed, quiz results, parts confirmed by your trainer) – to follow the training and for the project reports.
• WhatsApp number (optional) – to contact you about the training. We only send you messages if you agreed to it.
• LinkedIn profile (optional) – shown in the directory only if you chose so.
• Cookies: one session cookie (sign-in, 180 days) and one language cookie. No advertising cookies, no tracking statistics inside the app.
• Technical server logs (IP address, time, page) for security, kept for a short time.

Who sees your data

• The trainers and administrators of the Academy see your profile, skills and progress.
• MPower Ventures AG receives reports about the training. They contain names and results only as far as needed for the project report.
• The public HUB manager directory shows name, country, hub, city and LinkedIn – only if you ticked the box.
• Other members do not see your e-mail address or WhatsApp number.

Where the data is

On our own server in Switzerland. E-mails are sent through Proton (Switzerland). If you follow our WhatsApp channel or write to us on WhatsApp, Meta processes that data under its own rules.

How long we keep it

As long as you are a member, and at the latest until the end of the project and its reports. You can ask us to delete your account at any time by e-mail.

Your rights

You can ask which data we hold, have it corrected or deleted, and withdraw your consent for WhatsApp or the directory (in your profile). We follow the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection and the data protection laws of Ghana, Cameroon and Togo. Contact: patrick@biber.solar.
